Session 6 — Stay in Borders

Opening concept: Two sensors working together give a robot much more capability than either alone.

Activity:

• EdBlocks Activity 19: combined line + obstacle detection (stay in borders behavior, student-programmed version)
• Build a custom arena with black tape border. Program Edison to stay inside.
• Sumo 2.0: both robots programmed to stay in the arena. When one gets pushed to the border and drives out, the other wins.
• Bracket tournament: 4 or 6 robots, elimination rounds

Materials: Devices, USB cables, large tape-bordered arena (tabloid paper with taped border works)
