Session 1 — Robot Boot Camp (Grade 4 Edition)

Activity:

• Ball game: two rounds, open to everyone, no prior experience needed
• Returning students who know EdBlocks: open challenge — program the ball game approach in EdBlocks as fast as possible
• New students: barcode exploration with a returning-student mentor; join EdBlocks challenge when ready
• Debrief: who got the fastest approach time? What did their program look like?

Materials: Ball game setup, barcode list, devices, USB cables
