Session 4 — Sensor Challenge Course

Activity:

• Combined sensor challenge: students design a course that requires using at least two sensor types (line + obstacle, or border + stop-at-line)
• Teams swap courses and program Edison for each other’s course
• Time limit: 30 minutes to design, 15 minutes to program, run and score
• Debrief: what made a course hard vs. easy to program for?

Engineering connection: Understand must be shared — your Understand has to be clear enough that another team can Build from it

Materials: Devices, USB cables, black tape, cups/blocks, large paper
