Session 6 — Robot Olympics, Event 2: Obstacle Maze Design

Opening concept: Good engineers test their designs from the user’s perspective.

Activity:

• Each team designs an obstacle maze for Event 2 (constraints: 4+ turns, at least one obstacle requiring sensor detection, must be completable)
• Teams must test their own maze first before handing it off
• Round-robin: each team programs Edison through one other team’s maze. Time it.
• Championship: top 2 fastest teams go head-to-head on a combined “super maze”
