Session 3 — Loops and Geometry
Opening concept: A loop that runs 4 times with a drive + 90° turn should make a square. Does it?
Activity:
- EdBlocks track: Activity 20–21 (music + performance) combined into one session
- EdScratch track: Unit 3 (Got Loops?) — loop blocks, forever loops, nesting
- Shared challenge: program Edison to drive a rectangle using loops. Measure and verify.
- Extension: Quad Squad setup — can you program a triangle? A pentagon? What’s the turn angle for each?
Engineering connection: Math predicts behavior. When it doesn’t match, something is wrong and findable.
